Weak Calf Syndrome: Don’t overlook the need for fat-soluble vitamins!
VITAL E®-NEWBORN For Beef and Dairy.

Cows consuming stored roughages during gestation, typically have lower levels of fat-soluble vitamins in colostrum and milk than compared to cows grazing green grass prior to and after calving. Calves are born deficient in fat-soluble vitamins contained in colostrum and milk. Those born during early spring or during drought conditions, result in having a greater demand for vitamins A, D, and E supplementation at birth, due to low colostrum levels.

Newborn calves deficient in fat-soluble vitamin status can exhibit “weak-calf syndrome”, diarrhea, and other symptoms shortly after birth. VITAL E®- Newborn supplements these critically important vitamins to the newborn calf when injected at birth.
